Yet the game remains my highlight of Limited Run Games’ showcase, oddly enough. The narrative from there is kind of… consulted. Both are being pressured to find love, and when they meet John instantly falls for Jane. It’s widely considered one of the worst video games of all times, which is honestly reason enough to play it! The story follows John (a plumber) and Jane. That’s not terrible surprising, because it had absolutely terrible reviews that dug into its production value, storyline, acting, and actually being more of a slideshow than an FMV game. It’s a visual novel and dating sim that had a very limited distribution at back in 1993. If you come in expect a fun and corny experience, remastered for current consoles, then Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties – Definitive Edition may be for you. If you’re coming to FMV game Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties expecting phenomenal acting and story writing, you’ll probably be disappointed. Limited Run Games Showcase: Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties – Definitive Edition However, there are definitely standouts from each showcase, which I’ve compiled here along with screenshots, trailers, and links to the showcases themselves. So many games have gone in my head then right back out, as something else needed to take its place. The thing that has most people smitten with The Plucky Squire is the number of different gameplay features seen in the trailer, including a fighting mini-game and sidescrolling shooter just to name a couple, along with the gorgeous mixture of art styles.Well, the week is over. You'll follow Jot as he traverses this mysterious new world, switching in and out of 2D and 3D to solve different puzzles and defeat the villain Humgrump. There were a few nifty titles, but it was The Plucky Squire by developer All Possible Futures that ended up stealing the show, a brand new action-adventure game that has players take on the role of Jot, a storybook hero who leaps out of his world into our three-dimensional one.Īccording to the game trailer's description, the villain of Jot's book doesn't seem too fond of being labeled as such, kicking him out of his own book to rewrite the story. Devolver Digital's yearly showcase was just as bonkers as everyone expected it would be, but that doesn't mean we didn't get to see some pretty great games.
